With this latest data release, SiliconExpert Technologies increased the number of components to over 300 million improving its already extensive Electronic Component Database. Not only has SiliconExpert increased the amount of components in its database, but has also increased the breadth of its data offerings by adding attributes such as Country of Origin (COO) data. The newly revamped database has up to 50 parametric attributes per category for all electronic components ranging from semiconductors to passive electromechanical. Components from over 15,000 manufacturers are parametrically searchable in a single database accessed by leading commercial and government OEMs, top-tier authorized distributors and contract manufacturers.

Requirements for antenna switch ICs, which are used in the RF circuits of mobile devices, are leaning towards multi-port and improvements to RF performance, including insertion loss and linearity. In addition, in order to meet the drastic growth of high data rate mobile communication devices in emerging markets, it is essential to achieve these RF performance improvements in a cost-effective method.  

The VEMD6010X01 and VEMD6110X01 feature fast response times, ± 60° angles of half intensity, a wide temperature range of -40 °C to +110  °C, and 900 nm and 950 nm wavelengths of peak sensitivity, respectively. RoHS-compliant, halogen-free, and Vishay green, the photodiodes support lead (Pb)-free processing and provide a moisture sensitivity level (MSL) of 4, in accordance with J-STD-020, for a floor life of 72 hours. 

Toshiba started product development from this month, and will start sample shipments and mass production of TB62003A, successor to the current TD62003A, as the first product in the new line-up in June 2015. The company subsequently plans to release two products in the TB62xxxA series every six months, building up to 12 products.
